MUKS WSG SUPRAVIS Bydgoszcz took third place in the final tournament of the Girls’ Youth Polish Championship (U16 K) in the 2013/2014 season! The players coached by Krzysztof Janik and Edward Malinowski won bronze medals after a clear-cut victory with WKK Wrocław 69:50. Natalia Gwizdała was chosen by the organisers as one of the best five players of the tournament. Natalia Gwizdała and Weronika Papiernik were appointed to be among sixteen members of the Polish National Girls’ Team (U16 K)! We would like to note that the above-mentioned players had already been the Polish champions twice.

We also have some good news from the Primary School No. 60 in Bydgoszcz. In the 2013/2014 season, young athletes from the Bydgoszcz Interschool Students’ Sports Club for the fifth time in a row represented Kujawsko-pomorskie Province in the national finals of Energa Basket Cup. This time the players coached by Beata Ołdak and Radosław Janik took the eighth place.

In the 2013/2014 season, the Sports Junior High School No. 15 in Bydgoszcz for the second time in a row represented Kujawsko-pomorskie Province in the finals of the Girls’ Basketball Junior High School Games. Last year, young players from Bydgoszcz took the third place. This time in Kołobrzeg they were the best. All players from the Sports Junior High School No. 15 are members of the “MUKS” Bydgoszcz Interschool Students’ Sports Club.

This season, the team representing Kujawsko-pomorskie Province also took the sixth place in the Girls’ Basketball Polish Youth Olympic Games in Jelenia Góra. The following MUKS Bydgoszcz basketball players were members of the team representing Kujawsko-pomorskie Province: Sara Wyczałkowska, Sandra Rahn, Weronika Preihs, Kamila Rahn, Julia Malicka and Aleksandra Szymańska. During the Polish Youth Olympic Games, Aleksandra Szymańska scored the greatest number of points (91 points in four matches).

Congratulations to the young players. We are delighted with your success!
